Flying Kukris is the premier youth rugby club in the New Territories and has a proud tradition, which commenced with the British Forces based in Sek Kong ('Flying' from the RAF helicopters squadron and a 'Kukri' being a traditional Nepalese knife of the Ghurkha soldiers).
Today the club offers rugby training for both boys and girls from age 4 to 19 every Sunday morning, training at the Hong Kong Institute of Education Sports Centre, only 10 minutes from Hong Lok Yuen.
Training: every Sunday morning from 9am.
Location: HK Institute of Education Sports Centre (parking available, Kukris bus available from Tai Po Market MTR Station).
The Flying Kukris is a volunteer club and they encourage parents to take an active part in their children’s rugby as well by joining the coaching staff (training and courses are available), support staff (team manager, helping coaches, committee positions etc.).
They are a multi-cultural club with members from all walks of life in Hong Kong. In every age group they have Cantonese and English speakers on the coaching staff or support staff, so there should be no problem understanding the coaches!
